Job Summary

We are hiring Industrial Mixers in Liberty, South Carolina, where we produce high-quality pancakes and waffles. In this role, you will operate industrial mixing equipment to prepare batters and doughs following strict recipes and production standards. You will be responsible for scaling and verifying ingredients, monitoring mix times and temperatures, documenting batch data, and ensuring consistent quality in every batch. Maintaining a clean and safe work area, following food safety protocols, and communicating any issues to supervisors or maintenance staff are also key responsibilities.

Work Schedule & Pay

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Mon–Fri); weekends as needed
    Training Pay: $15.00/hr | After Training: $17.00/hr
     
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Mon–Fri); weekends as needed
    Training Pay: $15.50/hr | After Training: $17.50/hr
     
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Mon–Fri); weekends as needed
    Training Pay: $15.75/hr | After Training: $17.75/hr

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect food production equipment before mixing to ensure it is operational and free of foreign materials or damage; document observations on start-up and shutdown checklists using a mobile app or tablet.
  • Adjust processing equipment to maintain dough consistency and meet quality standards.
  • Document lot numbers, raw dough temperatures, and fat percentages; communicate any deviations to the production supervisor.
  • Report accidents or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Operate high-speed and/or high-tech processing and packaging equipment following standard food production procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout production.
  • Perform changeovers and end-of-run cleaning, including equipment disassembly and reassembly.
  • Sanitize machines between production runs.
  • Use SAP-based barcode scanners (training provided if needed).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Quality Assurance

  • Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, high-quality food that meets SQF, regulatory, company, and customer standards.
  • Conduct quality control tests to ensure dough meets specifications.
  • Report quality or workplace improvement suggestions to the production supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of industrial mixing experience
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Basic computer proficiency; ability to learn proprietary software
  • Moderate mechanical aptitude

Physical & Safety Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs
  • Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety protocols
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
  • Report food safety concerns or unsafe conditions to a lead or supervisor
  • Frequent walking and standing on hard concrete surfaces
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, lifting, and climbing
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments with exposure to flour dust, wet floors, occasional smoke, and fumes
