Position Profile

Cérélia's newly established Frozen Breakfast Business Unit – US Waffle - is driving an ambitious growth strategy, backed by two manufacturing facilities, Liberty, SC, and Hazelwood, MO. To effectively support the rapid scaling of operations at our state-of-the-art Hazelwood facility, US Waffle is seeking a dynamic and skilled CMMS Manager to join our team in Hazelwood, MO.

The CMMS Manager will lead the implementation and have ownership of the Ultimo CMMS system, ensuring all preventive maintenance (PM), work order management, and spare parts programs are structured, executed, and continuously improved.

This role is responsible for building and sustaining a best-in-class maintenance planning and asset reliability program to support the success of the manufacturing site in the areas of uptime, cost efficiency, safety, and operational discipline. This role serves as the central point of control for maintenance planning, scheduling, and spare parts procurement—driving a proactive maintenance culture and enabling the plant to scale effectively.
 
Primary Responsibilities: 
Build and deploy a complete Preventive Maintenance (PM) program within Ultimo, ensuring all critical assets are identified, structured, and maintained.
• Establish and manage the spare parts program, including:
  • Critical spare identification
  • Min/max inventory levels
  • BOM (Bill of Materials) development by asset
  • Inventory accuracy and cycle counting processes
• Develop and maintain a complete asset hierarchy and equipment registry within Ultimo
• Create, standardize, and manage all work order processes, including:
  • Work request intake
  • Planning and prioritization
  • Scheduling and execution tracking
  • Closeout and documentation
Serve as the maintenance planner, building weekly and daily schedules aligned with production needs and labor availability
• Drive a planned vs. unplanned maintenance strategy, with a focus on increasing planned work and reducing reactive maintenance
• Partner with maintenance and operations teams to ensure:
  • Proper execution of PMs
  • Minimal disruption to production
  • Strong communication and coordination
Own and manage maintenance KPIs, including:
  • PM compliance
  • Schedule adherence
  • Equipment uptime/downtime
  • Mean time between failure (MTBF)
  • Mean time to repair (MTTR)
Lead the procurement of maintenance parts and services, including:
  • Vendor selection and management
  • Cost control and negotiation
  • Purchase order creation and tracking
• Ensure all maintenance and inventory transactions are properly captured and controlled within Ultimo
• Develop and enforce standard work and discipline around CMMS usage across the maintenance team
• Train maintenance and operations personnel on proper CMMS usage and expectations
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to reliability, cost, and system utilization
• Support capital projects by ensuring new equipment is properly:
  • Set up in Ultimo
  • Assigned PMs
  • Supported with spare parts strategy
• Ensure compliance with all safety, GMP, and food safety requirements related to maintenance activities
• Perform other duties as assigned or of a similar nature or level.

Qualifications: 
 • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required (Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, or related field preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance planning, CMMS management, or reliability engineering within a manufacturing environment (CPG or food preferred)
• Proven experience implementing or significantly upgrading a CMMS system (Ultimo strongly preferred)
• Strong knowledge of:
Preventive and predictive maintenance systems
Spare parts and inventory management
Maintenance planning and scheduling
• Demonstrated ability to build systems from the ground up and drive adoption across teams
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Plex experience a plus)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and influence skills across all levels of the organization
• High sense of urgency and accountability
• Ability to train, coach, and drive behavioral change within teams

This role may initially operate as an individual contributor but will have the opportunity to build and lead resources over time, including:

• Parts Clerk/ MRO Inventory Coordinator(s)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 
 
This is a Full Time Exempt 40 hour per week position, and it may require working additional hours depending on the needs of the business.
