Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance and supports the day-to-day operation of the Company’s equipment and machinery. This role maintains and repairs electrical, mechanical, and related systems to minimize production downtime and keep equipment operating safely and reliably.
The Maintenance Technician works as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision. They must follow all safety and food safety procedures and be comfortable working in a hot manufacturing environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Contribute to the resolution of system and equipment breakdowns and general maintenance tasks such as troubleshooting and equipment modification.
- Troubleshoot process and production issues sufficient to facilitate repairs.
- Completion of documentation related to preventative maintenance, repairs, safety, inventory and process/procedures.
- Perform maintenance and repair of production line and Packaging equipment.
- Utilize welding, fabrication, pneumatics and hydraulic skills for equipment repair.
- Adhering to all policies, procedures and programs of the company (GMP, Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety etc) at all times.
- 3+ years of experience in the food industry production lines, preferably cookie or biscuit production lines
