Logistic Operator- 1st Shift (10AM to 6:30PM)
Responsibilities
Operate forklift (stand up Crown) and pallet jacks as needed.
Operate stretch wrap machines.
Familiarity with modern warehouse practices and methods including operating scanners or handheld devices used to move and track items.
Prepare and complete orders for shipping according to the schedule.
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
Computer-based order picking in cooler (38 degrees) or freezer (-10 degree) environment. Cold gear provided.
Maintain accurate records of products that have been stocked and shipped.
Check in and sign out drivers in log.
Inventory cycle-counting
Check in raw materials, packaging supplies, and other deliveries according to procedures.
Label all incoming materials according to procedures.
Stock production lines with needed materials.
Keep warehouse areas interior and exterior clean and organized. Daily cleaning will be required.
Flexibility to work off-shifts, and overtime including days or nights, weekends, or holidays.
Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with quality policies and procedures, including product hold and traceability.
Report any discrepancies with product or code dates.
Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet SQF, regulatory, company, and customer requirements.
Health and Safety
Ensure the use safe work practices and that safe working conditions exist.
Conduct daily equipment checks as required.
Report any damage or equipment issue to Supervisor.
Ensure compliance with government regulations.
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
Operate all forklifts according to OSHA standard and company policies and SOPs.
- Must be able to work in coolers and freezers for extended periods. PPE will be provided.
- Follow company safety policies and practices fostering a safe workplace and environment for ourselves and our co-workers.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
Good communication skills
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to accurately operate RF scanners
Ability to operate stand up forklifts
Basic math skills
Forklift experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
Comfortable working in environments with extreme temperatures zones (coolers at 38 degrees and/or freezers at -10 degrees). Must be able to rack or receive material in these zones, not work in them for the duration of the shift.
Must have good command of the English language, both written and verbal
General understanding of FEFO processes (first expired, first out)
Food manufacturing experience preferred
